You never know how hard it is to create a rubric until you have to do it. You need to go right back to the beginning of your planning, and why you chose the particular assignment. I decided for myself that if I chose a 1 - 4 rubric, then 3 would be exactly what I asked for. Anyone who did more than expected would get a 4 and gaps in learning or effort would get
a 1 or 2. BUT I like to develop a rubric which will give everyone a chance to do well in at least one area. Not everyone excels in all areas, but they should have an opportunity to show what they know.
